Inalegwu Ode-Ichakpa is an associate professor of instruction in accounting at the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ. He earned a PhD in accounting and finance from Manchester Metropolitan University, where he also completed a postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching in higher education. He holds an MBA from the University of Wales and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Canada.
Ode-Ichakpa’s teaching expertise spans managerial accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, auditing, research methods, and accounting information systems. He has supervised over 100 master's candidate dissertations, served as an external PhD examiner, and guided multiple doctoral candidates to completion. His research interests include corporate governance, financial regulation, sustainability reporting, and the intersection of technology and auditing.
His work has appeared in leading journals such as Cogent Economics & Finance, The European Journal of Finance, and Africa Journal of Management. Recent publications explore topics including regulatory reforms in banking, gender diversity and CSR in China, and circular economy adoption. He is also developing research on artificial intelligence exposure and audit fee pricing.
Ode-Ichakpa has extensive academic service experience, including roles as an ACCA specialist reviewer and external dissertation assessor. He is proficient in data analysis tools such as Stata, SPSS, EViews, Tableau, and Power BI.
