Nicole Chaput Guizani, Ed.D
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Providence College, a Master of Education in Elementary Education with a focus on Constructivism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in ESL and Reading from UMass and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Policy and Organizations from Vanderbilt University.
With more than 24 years of experience in education, Chaput Guizani has taught elementary students in grades 3 and 5, coached K鈥12 teachers of multilingual learners and served as a central office administrator supporting 143 schools in their efforts to serve immigrant and refugee students and families. She is highly skilled in adult learning and has led impactful professional development for administrators, faculty and staff. Since 2009, she has taught in higher education and mentored pre-service teachers, contributing her expertise to both undergraduate and graduate programs at Vanderbilt University, Lipscomb University and the 草莓视频.
Chaput Guizani鈥檚 areas of specialization include English Language Learners (ELL), elementary education and literacy instruction. Her recent research centers on college student retention and completion, with a strong commitment to advancing equitable outcomes for diverse student populations. Beyond her academic work, she serves on the board of a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering high school girls to become 鈥渟trong, smart and bold鈥 leaders. Her career is a testament to the transformative power of education, driven by a deep passion for teaching, leadership and lifelong learning.
