Transition from Research Council (RC) to CRSC
The Faculty Senate has merged the Publications Council and the Research Council into a new body: the Council on Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (CRSC). The current Research Council will continue its work until the CRSC officially begins in January 2026.

About the CRSC
The Council on Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (CRSC) advises the Provost, the Vice President for USF Research & Innovation, and the Executive Vice President for USF Health on matters pertaining to policies, procedures, and investments intended to promote growth, excellence, and integrity in research, scholarship, and creative activity throughout the university community.
Leadership
Current leadership: Research Council – Chair: Ganesh Halade, Vice-Chair: Marilyn Stern; Publications Council – Chair: Nicole Guenther Discenza. The new CRSC will elect its officers at one of its first meetings in January or February 2026.

Spring 2026 Dates:
January 12 – Discussion of ICPG pre-proposals (last meeting of the RC)
January 26 – MuRCIA for small equipment (transition to CRSC occurs at this meeting)
